This lesson, many people presented their powerpoint presentations, most people who presented had similar documentaries by Michael Moore, for example, Bowling for Columbine, Sicko, fahrenheit 9 11, etc. Many people didn't have powerpoint presentations, which I thought made their presentations really boring, though quite informative. I especially liked Lucas' presentation on Bowling for Columbine, even though it was way too long and too informative. I thought it was well organized and quite interesting, because he first introduced Michael Moore (background information). Though I thought the only bad thing was that he didn't have a proper introduction and a proper ending. He didn't talk about his thoughts and if he was persuaded by Michael Moore. Though overall, he explained how Michael Moore influenced people to side with his views by using techniques that could make the documentary more believable. For example, he explained the camera angles used and how it enhances the overall mood of the video, and the sounds, other tecniques (statistics),etc. His presentation was really informative, and it also helped me a lot with my presentation. There were a few notes that I missed out in my research, and I took it down and included them in my presentation, because I was also focusing on Bowling for Columbine. Through Lucas' presentation, I learnt that Michael Moore wanted to portray the violence and the high level of gun crime commited in America. Due to the fact that I didn't present today, it meant that I had more time to improve my presentation, and I followed the comments and feedbacks from Ms. Wong to improve it. My goal for next lesson is to edit my current powerpoint presentation, and change my speech a little (add information that I missed).
